Social Media Influencer
There are few things more vague and egotistical than the title Social Media Influencer and yet, it's one that I've adopted. Several years ago I began with a small Twitter account that focused on my Fraternity and the lifestyle that surrounds it. Now, I trade impressions by the hundreds of thousands and shuttle customers to websites in mass. Online advertising is the Wild West of social media, with many members often playing fast and loose with the rules. It can be easy to get swept away.
I focus on three core competencies:
- Snapchat
For many, Twitter is where it all began. Which is ironic, because it;s painfully difficult to get a start on this platform now.
I have direct access to over 250,000 followers at the moment, and can call upon millions more through the network.
Twitter takes work and a little bit of luck.
The fun, easy-going, idealistic heart of social media. People come here to be happy, nothing more.
All shops, all businesses, anything looking to sell online needs to have an Instagram presence.

With half a dozen accounts in my direct possession and over 100,000 followers, Snapchat has become my bread and butter. Advertising and growth comes easiest here. It's a fascinating array of players from the small fry to the big fish.
